Bearville Vocabulary

Apple (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Attic (Room) – A room, available for purchase at the Lumbear Yard for 1000 Bear Bills, which comes with an automatic storage system used for storing items from your dock.

Beach Comber (Game) – Located at Sunshine Shores.

Bean (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Bear-2-Bear Balloon Toss (Game) – Located at Sunshine Shores Cave.

Bear-2-Bear Baseball (Game) – Located outside the Sportsplex.

Bear-2-Bear Racing (Game) – Located outside the Sportsplex.

Bear-2-Bear Soccer (Game) – Located inside the Sportsplex.

Bear-2-Bear Tug-a-Hug (Game) – Located in the Friendship Forest Entrance.

Bear Bills (Thing) – Bear Bills are the offical currency of Build-A-Bearville. Bear Bills are obtained by playing games and can be used by purchasing furniture for your Cub Condo or clothing for your online character.

Bear Boutique (Store) – A store located in Town Square that sold exclusive furniture and clothing for your furry friend. Items were only available for purchase using store credit. Now known as Bearville Outfitters.

Bearemy (Character, Bear) – BABW’s lovable, huggable bear mascot. You can visit Bearemy in Town Square and, on certain days, recieve a free gift from him.

Bear Hugs (Game) – Located in the virtual Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Bear Mail (Thing) – Bear Mail is BABV’s postal service. It can be used to send messages to your friends. Your can access your Bear Mail account through your Bear Mail mailbox, located next to your Cub Condo, or in your PDA.

Bearrific (Word) – The BABV word for ‘terrific.’

Bearrific Burgers (Game) – A non-profit game that appeared in Waterfall Lake during Camp Happy Heart of 2009. This game required a player to grill and serve hamburgers.

Bearrific Drummers (Game) – Located in the Friendship Forest Cave.

Bears and Pairs (Game) – Located inside the Libeary.

Bear Stuff (Store) – A store selling furniture for your Cub Condo. The Bear Stuff store is located in Town Square.

Bearthday (Word) – The BABV term for ‘birthday.’

Bear University (Area) – Bear University is Build-A-Bearville’s center of learning. There are three areas located here; the Libeary, Classroom, and Gymnasium.

Bearville Outfitters (Store) – A store located in Town Square that sells exclusive items for purchase using store credit. Formerly known as the Bear Boutique.

Bearville Outfitters Rooftop (Secret Area) – The Bearville Outfitters Rooftop is one of four secret areas in Build-A-Bearville (also see Tree House Forest, Lighthouse, and Coffee Shop Rooftop). To access it, go to Town Square and click on the blue trampoline on the sidewalk. You will then automaticly be transported to the Bearville Outfitters Rooftop.

Bearville Times (Thing) – The Bearville Times is Build-A-Bearville’s very own newspaper. It will be the first thing you see when you log in and can be accessed later by using your PDA. A new copy comes out about every two weeks.

Bee Stylin’ Salon & Spa (Store) – Located in the Furbulous Fashion District. Here you can style and color your virtual character’s hair, change their facial features, or even their eye color.

Build-A-Bearville News Network (Area) – The Build-A-Bearville News Network building, or BNN, is the home of the Chloe Show studio and the ‘Ask Bearemy’ question board. The main entrance is located in Town Square next to the virtual Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Bobbing Fur Apples (Game) – Located in the Friendship Forest Farm.

Brown Sugar Puppy (Character, Dog) – Brown Sugar Puppy spends all of his time in the Skate Park. When you visit him for the first time, he will offer to let you try his pawsome sports challenge.

Build-A-Bearville (Thing) – A virtual world launched by Build-A-Bear Workshop in December of 2007 that allows children to take their enjoyment of their plush BABW animals to the next level. Kids can own a Cub Condo, decorate it, and play games with their very own virtual character and furry friends.

Build-A-Bear Workshop (Thing) – A store that allows kids of all ages to choose, stuff, dress, and name their very own stuffed animal. Build-A-Bear Workshop, or BABW for short, launched Build-A-Bearville in December 2007 to attract more customers to their store.

Campfire Challenge (Game) – A game that appeared in Waterfall Lake during Camp Happy Heart of 2009. This game required players to create a fire by clicking on green areas as a bar passed over them.

Camp Happy Heart (Activity) – A competion put on annually in Build-A-Bearville, usually around July. Members of the camp recieve a colored t-shirt (teams include red, blue, green, or yellow) and then play games to add points to their team’s score. The team with the most points earned at the end of the camp (Yummy Yellow Team, 2008; Beary Blue Team, 2009) won a prize pack, which included a . . .

Canine Care (Game) – Located in Friendship Forest Farm.

Carnival (Event) – The carnival was a group of games, located outside of the Pawforming Arts Center, that were available for play during the summer months of 2008. These games were classic carnival games, such as ring toss or baseball throw. The Bear Stuff store and Pawlette Coufur Boutique carried special items during this time, like the Carosuel Horse, Ginat Lollipop, Clown Outfit, Baton Twirler Outfit, and the Snow Cone Machine. The Carnival will return to BABV in September of 2009.

Cave (Area) – See Friendship Forest.

Cherry (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

ChloeRocks (Character) – ChloeRocks is the hostess of the Chloe Show at the Build-A-Bearville News Network as well as general manager and the icon of BABV. Chloe writes articles for the Bearville Times, sends out Bear Mails to BABV’s residents, and gives everyone a helping paw when they need it. ChloeRocks can be seen walking around BABV on special occasions.

Chloe Show, The (Thing) – The Chloe Show is a talk show, hosted by ChloeRocks, that features famous Celebearties and other honorable people, such as authors. The Chloe Show often has a new episode every month and is held inside of the BNN building in Town Square.

Classroom (Area) – See Bear University.

Coffee Shop (Store) – Here you can kick back and relax and enjoy coffee and pastries with your friends. The Coffee Shop is in the Furbulous Fashion Disrict and a coloring game located inside.

Coffee Shop Rooftop (Secret Area) – The Coffee Shop Rooftop is one of four secret areas in Build-A-Bearville (also see Tree House Forest, Lighthouse, and Bearville Outfitters Rooftop). To access it, go into the Coffee Shop and click on the long, yellow painting hanging on the wall. You will then be taken to the Coffee Shop Rooftop.

Corn (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Cub Condo (Area, Thing) – Your Cub Condo is your home in Build-A-Bearville and can be accessed via the Neighborhood. You can customize it with furniture and wallpapers that you win or purchase throughout the virtual world. You must own at least one furry friend to have a Cub Condo.

Dive Beary Deep (Game) – Located in Paw Park.

DJ Furbulous (Game) – Located inside the Pawforming Arts Center.

Emoticon (Thing) – Emoticons are small faces that a player can place above their head to depict an emotion. Every Build-A-Bearville account comes with a standard set of Emoticons, including Sad, Happy, Silly, Mad, etc. Other Emoticons can be recieved as gifts from speical guests or on holidays.

Entrance (Area) – See Friendship Forest.

Farm (Area) – See Friendship Forest.

Fast and Furbulous Shapes (Game) – Located in the Classroom.

Fast Paw (Game) – Located in the Skate Park.

Fertilizer Bag (Tool) – A tool, available for purchase at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills, used to fertilize your growable plants.

Fishing Pole (Thing) – A item that allows you to play the Fishing game at Paw Park. You can purchase a fishing pole at the fishing game kiosk. They cost 500 Bear Bills a piece.

Fly Swatter (Tool) – A tool, available for purchase at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills, used to rid your growable plants of insect pests.

Friendship Forest (Area) – An place in Build-A-Bearville that consists of six main areas; Park, Entrance, Path, Farm, Cave, and Meadow. Games here include Canine Care, Bobbing Fur Apples, Pie Eating Contest, Friendship Photo Safari, Words Fur the Birds, Bear-2-Bear Tug-A-Hug, and Bearrific Drummers. (To find the EXACT location of each of these games, look up their name in the Dictionary.)

Friendship Photo Safari (Game) – Located in the Friendship Forest Meadow.

Furbulous Fashion District (Area) – The Furbulous Fashion District is the place where you go to find new fashions for your online character. Visit the Pawlette Coufur Boutique, Bee Stylin’ Hair Salon, Coffee Shop, and Theater to see the many services offered there.

Furbulous Flyer Golf (Game) – Located at the kisok in the Skate Park.

Furfect (Word) – The BABV term for ‘perfect.’

Furry Friend (Thing) – Another name for your BABW stuffed animal. Furry friends can be gained by either using the code on its birth certificate or using a Welcome Pass.

Gardening Tool (Tool) – An item used in growing seeds (see Seeds) in your Cub Condo. The following tools are available for sale at the Lumbear Yard: fly swatter, trimmers, fertilizer bag, and a watering can.

Green Apple (Plant) – A growable plant given, as a seed, by Bearemy on Independence Day of 2009. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Green Tracks (Character) – Green Tracks was a special animal that appeared after the Green Tracks Mystery in April 2009. He can be found outside of the Pawsitively Green Center.

Green Tracks Mystery (Activity) – An online mini-game introduced to Build-A-Bearville during April of 2009. The point of the mystery was to discover where a set of mysterious pawprints, located in the Friendship Forest Meadow, had come from. Players who completed the mystery were rewarded with a total of 5 prizes, including a pair of Green Tracks Ears and a new Emoticon.

Gymnasium (Area) – See Bear University.

Hide and Seek (Game) – Located at the kiosk in the Neighborhood.

Honey Skateboarding Zone (Game) – Located in the Skat Park.

Jr. Cybear Guide (Person) – A person, represented by their online character, who has passed the Jr. Cybear Guide Test. Jr. Cybear Guides are marked by a blue star that hangs over their heads.

Jr. Cybear Guide Headquarters (Area) – A special area that can only be accessed by members of the Jr. Cybear Guide program. The Headquarters are located through a door, which is marked by a blue star, at Bear University.

Jr. Cybear Guide Program (Thing) – A program launched by BABV to allow children to assist in running the virtual world. The program is made up of Jr. Cybear Guides that have special privilages in Build-A-Bearville, such as accessing the Jr. Cybear Guide Headquarters.

Jr. Cybear Guide Store (Store) – A special store that sells Jr. Cybear Guide themed furniture and clothing. The store is located inside the Jr. Cybear Guide Headquarters at the computers and can only be accessed by Jr. Cybear Guides.

Jr. Cybear Guide Test (Thing) – A test, consisting of ten questions, that a person is required to take and pass before becoming a Jr. Cybear Guide. To take the test, a player must own at least one Furry Friend and have visited BABV in tweleve times in the past thirty days. Only then will the test appear inside of the Classroom at Bear University.

Kick It Quick (Game) – Located in the Skate Park

Libeary (Area) – See Bear University.

Lighthouse (Secret Area) – The Lighthouse is one of four secret areas in Build-A-Bearville (also see Tree House Forest, Coffee Shop Rooftop, and Bearville Outfitters Rooftop). To access it, go to Sunshine Shores Cave and click on the base of the only palm tree fully in view. You will then be transported to the Lighthouse.

Lumbear Yard (Store) – A store located in the Market Place that sells extra rooms, carpet, and wallpapers for your Cub Condo.

Mama Bear (Character, Bear) – See Maxine Clark

Maple (Plant) – A growable plant given out by Pawlette Coufur on Canda Day of 2009, as a seed. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Market Place (Area) – The Market Place is the place to go if you want to get the latest stuff for your Cub Condo. At the Lumbear Yard, you can purchase new rooms, carpet, and wallpaper for your Condo. And if the holidays are near, you can visit A Store Fur All Seasons and pick up a bag of decorations and furniture to get your house in a festive mood.

Marshmallow Roasting (Game) – A non-profit game that appeared in Waterfall during Camp Happy Heart of 2009. This game required a player to roast marshmallows perfectly over a campfire without undercooking or burning them.

Maxine Clark (Person) – Maxine Clark, otherwise known as “Mama Bear”, is the chief executive bear (CEB) at Build-A-Bear Workshop. On occasion, she is seen wandering around BABV, handing out gifts and chatting with the residents.

Maxine Clark’s Cub Condo (Area, Thing) – The Cub Condo and surrounding area which belong to the Chief Executive Bear of Build-A-Bear Workshop, Maxine Clark. In February of 2009, a contest was held to decorate Maxine’s Condo. All entrants recieved a silver Bearemy Statue.

Meadow (Area) – See Friendship Forest.

Neighborhood (Place) – A place that houses the entrance to the Cub Condo development and the kiosk for Hide and Seek.

Orange (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Path (Area) – See Friendship Forest.

Park (Area) – See Friendship Forest.

Pawforming Arts Center (Place) – The Pawforming Art Center is the place where you can let out your inner star and shine on stage. Take a photo of you and your furry friends in the on-site photo booth, create your own moves in Build-A-Dance, or play fun games like DJ Furbulous and Shake Your Honey.

Pawlette Coufur (Character, Rabbit) – Pawlette is the fashion advisor to the furry famous and the owner of the Pawlette Coufur Boutique. You can find her outside her store in the Furbulous Fashion District.

Pawlette Coufur Boutique (Store) – A store, owned by Pawlette Coufur, that sells fun fashions for your online character. You can find the Pawlette Coufur Boutique and its owner in the Furbulous Fashion Disrict.

Paw Park (Area) – Paw Park is a pawsome place to hang out with friends and have some fun in the pond. Find surprises in Dive Beary Deep or try your luck at fishing if you own a fishing pole.

Paws Fur Nature (Thing) – Paws Fur Nature is a monthly virtual magazine, published by National Geographic, that features short articles about animals and a quiz, which, apon completion, awards you with an animal-themed prize. Paws Fur Nature is available as a Cub Condo version at the Libeary.

Pawsitive (Word) – The BABV term for ‘positive.’

Pawsitively Green Center (Area) – The Pawsitively Green Center is devoted to keeping BABV a clean, healthy place to live. You can help the green movement by playing games like the Enviromently Green Search and Pawsitively Green Recycling Game.

Pawsitively Green Recycling Game (Game) – Located at the Pawsitively Green Center.

Pawsome (Word) – The BABV version of ‘awesome.’

Pawsome Painting (Game) – Located in the Coffee Shop.

Pawsome Panda (Character, Panda) – Pawsome Panda bides his time inside of the Sportsplex. Visit him daily to fill out his Fitness Checklist and earn up to 100 Bear Bills!

Peach (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Pear (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Personal Digital Assistant (Thing) – Your Personal Digital Assistant, or PDA, can be accessed by clicking on the PDA button on the main screen of Build-A-Bearville. You can use your PDA to check your Bear Mail, read the latest edition of the Bearville Times, view your quest progress, see your medals, change your den and settings, and many other things.

Pie Eating Contest (Game) – Located in the Friendship Forest Path.

Run Fur the Stuffing (Game) – Located in the virtual Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Scavenger Hunt (Game) – Located at the kiosk in Sunshine Shores.

Secret Area (Area) – See Coffee Shop Rooftop, Tree House Forest, Lighthouse, and Bearville Outfitters Rooftop.

Seeds (Plant) – Growable seeds are available at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills each in the following varieties: pear, peach, cherry, orange, apple, sunflower, bean, tomato, and corn.

Shake Your Honey (Game) – Located inside the Pawforming Arts Center.

Skate Board (Thing) – An item required to play in the Honey Skateboard Zone at the Skate Park. If you do not own a Skate Board, visit the Honey Skateboard Zone and it will ask you if you would like to purchase a skate board for 500 Bear Bills.

Skate Park (Area) – The Skate Park is the center of Build-A-Bearville’s sports program. Here you can meet Brown Sugar Puppy and take on his sports challenge or play fun, recreational games like Furbulous Flyer Golf, Fast Paw, and Kick It Quick, or test you skateboarding skills in the Honey Skateboarding Zone.

Store Credit (Thing) – Points that you get for purchasing items at Build-A-Bear Workshop. Store credit is used to purchased items at the Bearville Outfitters store and can be gained by entering your reciept code at either the virtual Build-A-Bear Workshop or at the Bearville Outfitters check out screen.

Store Fur All Seasons, A (Store) – A store that sells holiday decorations for your Cub Condo. A Store Fur All Seasons is located in the Market Place by the Lumbear Yard.

Sunflower (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills.

Ted the Tailor (Character, Bear) – Ted is Pawlette Coufur’s personal assistant. You can find him in the Pawlette Coufur Boutique handing out pawsitive comments about everyone’s outfits.

Theater (Area) – Located in the Furbulous Fashion District, the Theater shows short films on a variety of themes.

Tomato (Plant) – A growable plant available for purchase, as a seed, at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills. Once the plant has reached maturity, its fruit, valued at 50 Bear Bills, can be harvested.

Town Square (Area) – Town Square is the heart of Build-A-Bearville. Here you can find connections to the Build-A-Bearville News Network Building and the Build-A-Bear Workshop, Bear Stuff, and Bear Boutique stores. Games here include Bear Hugs, Run Fur The Stuffing, and Furtastic Fountain.

Train Station (Area) – An area of Build-A-Bearville in which you can board virtual trains bound to different destinations. Note: Trains are not available all year-round.

Tree House Forest (Secret Area) – The Tree House Forest is one of three secret areas in Build-A-Bearville (also see Coffee Shop Rooftop, Lighthouse, and Bearville Outfitters Rooftop). To access it, go to the Friendship Forest Entrance and click on the hole in the trunk of the tree in the upper left-hand corner. You will automaticly be transported to the Tree House Forest.

Trimmers (Tool) – A tool, available for purchase at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills, used to rid your growable plants of weeds.

Very Important Bear (Person) – A player who has purchased a monthly or yearly membership to the Very Important Bear, or VIB, program.

Very Important Bear Program (Thing) – The Very Imporant Bear Program, or VIB Program, is a special account upgrade that can be purchased by players for a monthly or yearly fee. VIB members recieve 5 free Bearville Outfitters credits every month as well as bonus Bear Bills and the opportunity to change their backpack design.

Virtual Ride (Thing) – A virtual ride is a item that your character can use for travel such as wings or a hoverboard. Virtual rides can be purchased at the Bearville Outfitters store in Town Square for around 5 credits each.

Waiter (Game) – A job offered by the Coffee Shop to all players that allows a character to take on the position of a waiter and serve hungry guests to earn Bear Bills. Players are able to take as many 10-minute shifts as they want by clicking on the green clock located in the Coffe Shop.

Waterfall (Area) – A new area, added on July 1st, 2009, that housed the main body of Camp Happy Heart and a game called Marshmallow Roasting.

Waterfall Lake (Area) – A new area, added on July 1st, 2009, that housed the other half of Camp Happy Heart and two games, Bearrific Burgers and Campfire Challenge.

Waterfall Train Station (Area) – Located at the top of Build-A-Bearville’s waterfall, the Waterfall Train Station first appeared on July 1st, 2009, as an access point to the Log Ride Mini game and could only be reached by riding the train from BABV’s main Train Station.

Watering Can (Tool) – A tool, available for purchase at the Lumbear Yard for 250 Bear Bills, used to water your growable plants.

Welcome Pass (Thing) – A paw-shaped pass that has a code printed on the back. The code allows you to adopt up to five furry friends into any account.

Words Fur the Birds (Game) – Located in the Friendship Forest Entrance.
